The “Soviet Union Inventor Badge” is a unique item that could be of interest to collectors and history enthusiasts. This badge was awarded to inventors in the Soviet Union who created inventions that were registered in the State Register of Inventions of the USSR and were confirmed to have been used in the national economy. It was introduced on December 12, 1974, and was awarded to the author (each co-author) of the invention with the first copyright certificate registered in the State Register of Inventions of the USSR after August 20, 1973, upon confirmation of the fact of the invention’s use in the national economy.
The “Inventor of the Soviet Union” badge is made of aluminum with a brass insert in the form of an arrowhead. The block has a red fabric insert and the inscription “Inventor of the USSR”. The badge has a diameter of 33 mm. The badge depicts a hammer and sickle, which are symbols of the Soviet Union.
